I need to work from home IE VPN has anyone ever tried use visual studio remotely? WTF

EPIC FAIL NEOTEL
I HATE YOU

Ok so my fiance who always said give them a change etc.. is not going for **** sakes she cant work like this heh

The Neotel call center is up to crap! again! FFS cant even cancel an account without issues.

unbundle the local loop and give neotel access

that should see the playing field getting leveled quickly.

100% correct and also the biggest blow that ICASA/DOC dealt to Neotel, as this should have happened when they were given the SNO licence!! They were snookered from day 1.

I doubt it since not even their backbone side of the network seems to work properly

But then they can blame telkom!!

If this happens, LLU is unbundled, and NeeTel still is experiencing issues, I really do hope it doesn't escalate into a blame game.

Fat cats protecting their own nasty pocketses is what it is all about. :(

NEOTEL were meant to be a FIXED line operator as well. That's why they initially got a licence and were known as the SNO (Second Network Operator).

Actually - their licence is for fixed mobility as far as I know

Then you need to extend your knowledge... read up on the previous licencing regime in place at the time of them been appointed as the SNO and not their current licence.

gonna have to agree with you Moggie. the fixed line i think is where fibre comes in, but that won't be for a couple years. so wireless is the way they go till then. and then maybe i'll go back to them,.

I just think if Neotel can get their network fixed and not @ our expense, IE refunds for downtime it will be much better

Care

At least we trying to compensate for your losses this way..... (credit acc)

Too busy putting out fires, to provide real service?

When you play with the big boys, you got to be smarter, or you will get your nose bloodied.

I only switched from Telkom because they had no ports available when we moved. I have had more problems with Neotel in 4 months than I had with Telkom in 30 years (last 4 were with adsl)

Neotel is not ready to compete with Telkom. On paper they have a fantastic product but in reality they cannot deliver. The call centre staff do not read profiles, are rude and you often need to phone again on the off chance that you find some one willing and able.

Every one here has had some contact with Hugo at Neotel's Noise Division, he tries hard, but he is fighting a loosing battle, if senior management are not seen to to be actively trying to solve these problems.

Telkom were smart (and cheated just a little) and got ready to tackle Neotel head on. How many customers will renew their contracts, when the 2 years is up? I won't, will you?
