Jeez these guys must really have a good PR contacts as all that I am seeing and reading from them is a lot of hot air and empty promises and rather lavish glowing press releases (I looking at you here rpm).

So the dude was lying when he said there wasn't going to be a price war? Personally I would have preferred them to keep silent about price cuts till they had access to SAT-3 and blindsided Telkom who would've been caught with their pants down. Now they're going to have time to prepare.

I was wandering the same thing, it sometimes is not what is in the statement but what they leave out that says much more. I hope they slash the price of bandwidth as well.
Telkom? Willingly run at a *loss*? Are you insane? They won't even invest in Eassy if they can't make ridiculous margins off it...

Yeah, I think he is referring to call costs when they start offering phones in april. Might still not compete on bandwidth prices

Actually I'm really hoping this "indian" company brings good business practise to SA (a lesson the local companies sadly need desperately) - Read a story many years ago - that India has a cap on earnings - CEO's etc can only earn a certain maximum amount (otherwise bad blood.) (May have changed?)
