Acer are charging R800.00 excluding VAT for 1GB ... and they're giving me a 512MB which I can sell. Good price?

BTW - they're not giving you 512 to sell - you already own it

There is 1GB already in it - and the max is 1.5GB.

So basically I have no choice, eh?

Why is the max 1.5? Why not install a 2gb and give yourself 2.5gb?

The alternative is to DIY it. I did

It's not even 2 weeks old - I don't want to do DIY on it as yet
