Netflix buying Warner Bros. Discovery

On the one hand I'm happy I could potentially cancel my Showmax subscription (use it only for HBO content).

On the other hand, I'm worried Netflix could drag HBO down to their shitty quality level where everything has the same bland algorithm produced look and feel.

HBO took a nose dive during Covid already, was much better before. Apple seems to be king of content now.

They've already mentioned movies will continue to reach cinemas too, and some other considerate positives.
