I followed the steps to set up Netflix with PS3 and everything is connected, DNS servers are working and the test connection was successful. But when i go to sign in to netflix i get "Sorry netflix is not yet available in your country"

So what could be the problem?

I do notice that "uPnP" shows unavailable before i test connection, does that affect the connection?. I even went to my router configuration and i saw it with a "tick" showing enabled.

I used dns servers that were updated daily and also it showed no problem as it showed "succeeded" ...I'll give Unotelly a try now and see

Hi,

Typically you need to ensure that your PS# network connections have the DNS manually set. If that is done ... then your problem is the DNS service you are using.

I just tried UnoTelly and went to quickstart and it says "everything is good" So then i go to Netflix and now i'm getting "Netflix encountered a problem - retrying in 29 seconds" and i'm still getting that same error

Where do you have your DNS servers set up? On the PS or on your router?

By the way, my netflix PS3 client does not do forced public lookups.

I'm not sure how to "block public dns" on the Aztech router.

@Sinbad I have it set up on the PS3 but keep getting the "Netflix encountered a problem" message :(

This is most likely a public DNS lookup problem. I had the same issue on the Roku. Make sure public DNS is blocked and ta da! Bob's your uncle.

Put the unotelly DNS servers into your router's config, rather than the PS3's... Then make sure your DHCP setup is such that clients get handed your router's IP address as a DNS server.

Doing it this way means any device on your network gets the benefit of unotelly. This is how I've done it and *touch wood* haven't hit the forced public lookup issue yet...

How do i block the public DNS?

@sinbad, i went into my network settings on the router and now added the primary and secondary dns . DHCP is enabled.

Remove the static settings on your PS3
See if you can get to netflix from your PC
If that works, try again from the PS3.

Ever since the change to public look-up my PS 3 had no issues

Where is your PSN account registered?

This is so frustrating , i keep getting "Netflix encountered a problem NW 2-5"

The PSN account is registered as a US account, i followed sheez guide. Everything is in place but it just wont connect

i can go to netflix on my PC , it allows me. Not sure why it wont connect with PS3 :(

See if you can add static routes on the router. If so, destination 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.8.4 route to 127.0.0.1

I get these columns in the router
-Destination
-Network mask
-Gateway
-Interface
-Metric

Do i just edit the destination column?? i cant edit the existing ones but i can ADD a new one

@Pitbull - Yes i have
