Netflix vs Showmax vs Black

Anyone subscribed to Black that can comment on Video quality?

More like Netflix (almost BluRay) or more like Shomax (not quite DVD)?

Q. Is Black the only one that has sport?

Soda Player and acestreams means never having to say, "how much?" again.

EDIT: Wasn't there a MyBB article a while back saying Netflix was going to start charging fees in ZAR?

Kwese charges in ZAR.

Had to Google that.

To be fair, ten Euro got me this... Add a fast VPN and it feels like I got the better deal... Sorry folks, Mac only.

You should see what I get for free thanks to my dad's US cable subscription. Plus I get to install the apps on rokus though out the house, which is handy if the family doesn't want to huddle around my macbook ;)

The only things I'm currently paying for are netflix and hulu, plus the dns service of course, and I can live with that. Occasionally I resurrect my NowTV account when I'm in the mood for something different.

Jealous.

I’m all in for $17 a month, other than the actual internet connection, ‘tho that’s just Netflix and the network... Think I need to try Hulu at some point too though.

Let me rephrase that:
Of the MyBB compared options:
  • Amazon Prime Video
  • Black
  • Netflix
  • Showmax
Is Black the only one that offers sport?

Simple answer yes... longer answer only partially and even then I wouldn’t class it as sport since it’s shyte channels or delayed broadcasts of some soccer matches

*Showmax said it is unsure how JustWatch calculates its title count. It has over 1,000 titles.

And how is Showmax calculating its title count: is Showmax counting the SD and HD variants of the same title separately to get to double the number of titles that JustWatch counted?

Regarding the pricing discussion... we asked Netflix for comment on that when it hiked prices in the US.

They are not planning to increase prices in South Africa [Sauce].

When I asked them about it at their big SA launch event a few months later, they said that they don't want to stifle the growth from our market, so they're not increasing prices here like they are in the US.

I did what bwana suggested - I cancelled and restarted, so I've gone from $13.99 to $11.99.

The first agent had no idea about the pricing structure though :/

I’ve been paying in Rands. Signed up through the Netflix app on the Ipad, so my billing goes through Itunes. Pay R164,99 for 2 screens. Is that in line with $ pricing ?

FNB:-) R135.21 reserved for purchase @ Netflix.com. That's for 2 screens this month. Seems like $2 more.

Can't activate Black trial because, according to them, "Card does not support recurring payments".

Bit weird, since card has worked on every other purchase so far, including subscriptions.

Signed up in August/September 2017. How do I check if I have us registration?

Did it all through the app and my ITunes account is SA as well.
