Netflix will start charging password sharers in 2023

Netflix will start clamping down on customers who share their accounts with people outside their households early next year.

The streaming giant announced the plan in its latest quarterly results presentation on Tuesday, 19 October 2022.

I was sharing with 4 friends, we all paid 50bucks each pm. But even at that price it wasnt worth it.

Streaming services like Netflix should look into something like that, like a "communal account" allow 4 locations for R200 or R250 or something, aimed at friends sharing or spread out families where the kids are in uni or something like that.

Right now, Netflix is borderline, whether I toss or keep it, they come with that ****, it will simply be the last straw the breaks the camel's back, so to say.

Yeah that would be a great option, I stay alone and there is no way I am paying R200pm alone every month for one streaming service. All these expenses start to add up really quick.
