Rough weekend...

First my flatron dies and now my router :(

Its a Netgear DG834Gv4. I bought it from Matrix in Edenvale about 6 months ago.
It just keeps restarting... I have tried a hard reset a couple of times as well, but I cant log onto the router, it says connection timed out..

It has a two year warranty, but I cant find the invoice.
Would Matrix have a way of tracing the invoice using the barcode or serial number? -<sigh>- :(

I'd be more concerned about the quality of mains power supply if I were you, seeing as your hardware is flaking out there.

The unit's firmware may have become corrupt. Down both the latest firmware image and this recovery utility. Should sort you out if there isn't a hardware fault.

My pc is on a ups.. so the flatron couldnt have been the power. As for the router.. who knows? I used to go through a router a month during summer because of lightning, but since I got Neotel its basically just working as a wireless hub..

Cool! thanks.. That utility is for v1 ~ v3 tho, mines a v4..

I will give it a bash tho... what can happen? as long as I use the correct fw the worst that can happen is nothing....

I was right ... nothing happened.
It didn't detect the router :(

there does not seem to be a recovery utility for the v4..
