Main Desktop PC has Intel 82579V Gigabit Network Connection. Dell Laptop has Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller.

Adsl Speeds to Telkom on PC Intel connection is half the speed compared to Laptop connection on Realtek.

Tests were verified by using the same modem cable changed between both computers. WiFi disabled on both computers.
Modem is TP-Link Archer D7.
Speedtest.net was used to measure tests to same sites. Multiple tests completed. Intel half the Speed of Realtek. Why ???

Do I need to upgrade PC ?

Cannot find a Network Card using Speccy software !!!

What I meant was that instead of paying to upgrade your PC, rather buy (or borrow) a much cheaper PCI network card and test it first.

Did you go to the motherboard manufacturer's website to look for drivers?

The answer depends on your OS. Try second button on network adapter, select properties. Intel adapters have special application utility as well.

Thanks but cannot read screen shot of settings ! I am running Windows 7 64 Professional on Asus P8Z77-V Pro with Intel i7 , 16 GB RAM. Intel Gigabit Network Controller. Googled for settings but could not find any info.. Do I need to change Network Controller ?
