Network Cable Pricing?

Howzit. Another slightly more random question here...

I am looking for a network cable of about 5m in length to lead into the room next to mine to hook up my mom's laptop to the internet via the router on my desk...How much would i be looking to pay for such a thing and where can i find one fairly quickly in the Cape Town area?

Also, would wireless be a better option or are the costs still prohibitive?

Its about R30 - R40 for a 5m lead, wireless will cost you about R700 just for the access point although it is much more conveniant (spelling ?).

Sweet. That is cheaper than i thought...Will get the cable so long and give the wireless some more thought.... Thanks man

You might want to get something a bit longer than 5m if you not going to drill a hole through the wall. 5m doesnt really get you that far .

When last in my local matrix shop they made them up for about R2/m and R2/plug
