Network card problem

Hey

Let me explain the problem im having, when i unplug my router's power and plug it back in my router does not detect my network card anymore, if i go to control panel / device manager and disable then enable the network card it works again.!?!?!

Heres the details

OS : Vista 32
Card : Realtek RTL8168B/811B Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.0)

Settings : auto disable gigabit - disabled
auto disable PCle - disabled
auto disable PHY - disabled
flow control - enabled
interrupt moderation - enabled
ipv4 checksum offload - Rx and Tx enabled
jumbo frame - disabled
large send offload(ipv4) - enabled
priority & vlan - priotity &vlan enabled
recieve buffers - 512
shutdown wake on lan - enabled
speed and duplex - 100mbs full duplex
TCP checksum offload - Rx &Tx enabled
transmit buffers - 128
wake on lan capabilities - pattern match & magic packet
WOL & shutdown link speed - 100mbs first

any idea of whats causing this?

I'm guessing here but...

Sounds like a bug in the router + DHCP hassles. i.e The router is only registering new connections with each DHCP request.

Try setting a fixed IP for the PC. Or switching to auto if it had a fixed IP.
 
Have you tried uninstalling the NIC and then installing it again, using the Vista equivalent of XP's "add hardware" in the control panel? It solved a somewhat similar situation I had in XP.
