Lo all...

Seems the iBurst network has died some or other death... no notice on their pages but getting major network problems to most intenational sites. As a JHB user I'm currently getting routed via CT.

Have seen sporadic problems since this afternoon... so you're not alone.

I am also experiencing some major international problems. I have also noticed that as soon as I drop international, my CT based sites are also dead (like myADSL) ... maybe from the routing going through CT

I'm also having problems with international sites for the past hour, so it's also affecting CT.:eek:

repaired it seems ... but NO update on the incidents page ...

I always find it sad that companies DON'T reveal accurately WHAT was wrong, how it was fixed and most importantly WHEN it was fixed ....

Guess they still have a LOT to figure out....

{Gotta wonder if the marketing department is in charge of the incidents page}

The incidents page doesnt seem to have very many of the problems. It must be sorted by now becuase it works fine for me, quite fast actually for international daytime..

Well to update a internet page for every connection problem is a bit of a hassle for them (lol, lazy....) so they only ever see mto report network fauliures when the whole conneciton dies or tower outages. You only seldom see problems like high latency etc..

I agree with regardtv wrt lack of transparency when there are network issues. they don't realise that when you have trust in the information you give them the more leeway they are actually likely to get from the consumer.

Imagine getting this in your mailbox from iBurst:

'Dear VALUED customer, unfortunately we've got an incident with the incidents page. Please do not phone the helpdesk about this incident, because our valued technicians are working non-stop to fix this.'

Happy iBursting!
