Is there any cheap, free software to do this?
I feel like being geeky and drawing a diagram of my home network, IP's etc. The guys at work used Visio once, but it's kinda excessive for the basic 2 x computer system.
Windows version also available.Dia is roughly inspired by the commercial Windows program 'Visio', though more geared towards informal diagrams for casual use. It can be used to draw many different kinds of diagrams. It currently has special objects to help draw entity relationship diagrams, UML diagrams, flowcharts, network diagrams, and many other diagrams. It is also possible to add support for new shapes by writing simple XML files, using a subset of SVG to draw the shape.

Let me understand this...
You need to draw a network diagram for 2 computers...
youre kidding.
You want SOFTWARE to draw a network diagram for 2 computers...![]()
Make up your mind. Either it's cheap, or it's free!
For software for a 2 device network, you must be high. For a few more devices, a OSS tool like Dia would work. The Dude is pretty awesome for bigger networks as well
