hi,
l would like to know which field on the computers networking is the best easier to study,l don't like programming,so l want to specialize in networking with something simple, l am applying at university for a B.Tech in networking
thanks.

try the CompTIA courses, cant go wrong with those, especially for simple tech support stuff.

especially the N+, but after you've done the A+ , otherwise take a look at something more higher level like CCNP, CCNA

Yes, I agree. Start here.

Degree very important but also do a+ and n+ then ccna but that's where it starts getting interesting

I just checked. A+ looks very easy I did the (Take a practice test) and got 100% on that. I have not studied computers. Maybe I should take the test :/

its super easy, but the cert is whats important, but if you feel confident go for it,

but remember the questions sometimes can be tricky, kind of like when you did your theory test for your licence.
looking for the most correct answer,

I suggest a study guide before you write.......

I have to agree with above posters. I started with A+, N+, I-Net+ and a couple other Comptia courses. After which I did CCNA and MCSE. From there I moved to the BsC Computer Science Unisa. Looking at going for the CCNP at sometime. Love networking. But also love programming. The two kinda works lekker together.

doesnt INET+ not exist anymore? what have they replaced it with.
did you do security +? how was that?

I did the security+, not that hard. I think inet has been discontinued. Pretty much all the comptia courses were easy. CCNA was a breeze. MCSE was just a bucket load of info to get in your head but not that difficult. I hear that ccnp is very difficult.

What don't you like about programming? If you do networking you are going to spend some time in some sort of command line interface configuring firewalls and doing routing and possibly even write scripts.

cool, Im right now on my security + at the moment, anything you might recommend to use to study?

ie:braindumps,study guides ect....

We used to get exam papers, braindumps etc from our lecturer. But my advice, do the practical stuff. And even if there arent any, setup a lab and try everything they show. For me, hands-on experience was the fastest sure fire way to understand, remeber and implement what youve learnt.

don't think its a good idea to ask the online course provider Im looking for braindumps,:D

although maybe somebody here on myBB has something to point us in the right direction.

looking do do linux + after this one, but not sure if I should do server + first?

I did the lpic 1 and 2 if i remeber correctly. Was a breeze aswell. Do both at the same time. Its very easy. Or if you cant or dont want to, id do server first.

now your cooking with gas...........
:p

thanks, appreciate it.......

oh my G***

its got absolutely everything you could ever ask for!!!!!!
that's amazing, WOW,

Ill take you didnt mean that in a nasty way. I have my own IT support company that caters for small to medium enterprises, and a company that develops systems automation for the same market.
