HI THERE
PLEASE HELP ME OUT HERE!.........
I SIT WITH THE FOLLOWING SETUP. 3 PC'S, 1 HUB, AND 1 ADSL ROUTER.
MY OTHER 2 PC'S ARE CONNECTED THROUGH MY NORMAL HUB, BUT NO NEED FOR INTERNET ON THEM. MY OWN MACHINE RUNS MY ADSL INTERNET WITH MY ROUTER. I USE 10.0.0.2 ON MY MACHINE, AND THE OTHER 2 ARE ON 192.168.0.1 AND 2.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
IF I WANT TO PLAY LAN AGAINST THE OTHER TWO, I MUST PULL MY ADSL ROUTER CABLE (PLUG) OUT FROM MY BOX, PLUG IN THE LAN CABLE CONNECTED
TO THE NORMAL HUB, AND CHANGE MY IP TO 192.168.0.3 EVERY TIME!!!!!
PLEASE IF SOMEONE CAN HELP ME, HOW CAN I CONFIGURE THESE 3 MACHINES SO I CAN RUN SOMEHOW MY INTERNET ON MY OWN MACHINE, AND IF I NEED TO PLAY LAN WITH THE OTHERS, JUST CLICK AND I CAN PLAY AGAINST THEM (THE 2 MACHINES don't NEED INTERNET THOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!)

SORRY FOR THIS 200 WORDS LETTER, BUT I JUST NEED TO EXPLAIN MYSELF, HOPE I DON'T CONFUSE YOU OUT THERE

THANX
:D

You could try not using capitals! Some people just close the thread when they see all CAPS. Guess you forgot caps on :/

You could get another lan card and connect it to the hub.

Or you could plug the router into the hub, your machine into the hub and change your machine and the routers ip's to 192.168.0.3 and 192.168.0.4 or something similar. This way you can give access to internet to the other machines or you don't have to.

Second option will be the easiest/cheapest option ;)

your adsl router plug, is it an ethernet plug or usb?

Go with bullfrog suggestion, plug the router into the hub, and let the router assign ip's if it has dhcp enabled or just assign the ip's manually.

from what your saying i take it you only have one network card installed on your main pc.

those ip's are also very different, class c 192's and 10's, private ip's and they use different subnet mask. (conflict) make sure you only use one type

What will work with the least hassles is if you connect your router to your hub, and all the computers to the hub also.
Then set the router to use DHCP and set all computers to automatically obtain IP ... OR ... if your router doesn't do DCHP, just set the computers that had 192.168.0.x addresses to 10.0.0.3 and 10.0.0.4 (as that's the network the router is currently running on)

You can assign multiple IP addresses to your network card.

Go to the TCP/IP properties, click ADVANCED. In the top part of the dialog, click ADD, and add your 192.168.0.3 IP.

Now you can access all machines.

This is probably the quickest / easiest way to do it, but it's not elegant. You should rather change the IP's of the other machines to the same network - ie, 10.0.0.x. Just leave the gateway entry blank, and they shouldn't have internet access.

I hope you get it fixed, I can't read it, I feel like you're shouting at me :(

I second thisgeek's suggestion. It's really the least cumbersome solution.
