GamCo Bandwidth Meter
Your current bandwidth reading is:

3.40 Mbps
which means you can download at 435.81 KB/sec. from our servers.

Not going to complain about this :)

I rarely get above 3mb/sec (1.6mb on gamco test). I don't know why, its not that I am too far from the exchange. Maybe Telkom just hates me. :(

Upgraded my firmware to v1.02.04 and everything seems fine now....multiple streams will get you 400 KB/s, single stream anything from 35-60 KB/s internationally. Local is really fast and my 2GB account cap seems extremely 'flexible' ;-) .

Wilst downloading tonight I had a program screaming in at 92KB/Sec! Did somebody leave the tap open?

You're lucky pal, my 1024 line is showing between 30-55 on the telscum speed test!! Logged a fault just now, don't know how long before anything gets done. As a matter of interest, I am using a Belkin modem/router which has served me just fine up to now. What are you using?

Reluctantly, I owe telkom an apology. Since the 4mb upgrades were done I experienced seriously low speeds when browsing and downloading. I phoned telkom on numerous ocasions and shat them out from a dizzy height! The problem though was not with my line but rather an ''overworked'' network card.
