As a result of the ADSL growth & new services, Telkom will start implementing a new range of IP addresses for ADSL users. The IP address blocks will be as follows:
165.165.0.0/16 - Current
165.146.0.0/16 - Current
165.145.0.0/16 - Current
41.240.0.0/16 - New
For any queries please contact our helpdesk on 0800 222 77 2.

That brings the total number of available IP addresses to 262136.

41.240.0.0/16 - New

I'm hoping thats like the 165 ones which are accessable from the outside the network.

Class A, well then it musta cost a pretty penny.

Uhm ... nope. CIDR /16 is netmask 255.255.0.0 which is Class B. But still a pretty penny :)

Wouldn't telkom have a bunch of these hidden in a cupboard somewhere - saved up for a rainy day - much like they're doing with bandwidth on SAT 3?
