new ADSL prices from 03 March???

So with VDSL prices out in the open, and lauch officially from beginning of March, how about a bit of price speculation for the current ADSL services? :twisted:

20mbps gonna set you back R480 and 40mbps gonna set you back R650.

In my mind, Telkom can no longer justify R299 for a 2mbps (R425 for 4mbps) connection when you paying R181 more for a connection 10x the speed.

Surely they going to have to reduce the 2mb, 4mb and 10mb prices.

One can hope they dont come up with some serious BS excuse not to adjust the current ADSL pricing

That's right, in my area the maximum allowed speed is 2 Mbps. I'm very lucky to have gotten a 4 Mbps line. Telkom is very incompetent.

Hi There,
Speculation on what Telkom will do is just that speculation. They have announced that they are pleased with the results of their testing in the limited areas where the technology is able to be deployed. Just releasing it does not mean it is available for everyone and hence the reason to expect that there will be no immediate decrease in ADSL because of the VDSL pricing.
However as the technology is deployed further around the country then we may see some decrease.
