All good that something is being done , but what safeguards are there to prevent the gathered info from being misused ?

Think it will only be fair for restaurants to post warnings at least.

maybe they should have metal detectors at the entrances of each resturant
schools in SA will soon have them too, just give another 2 years

imagine the looks on the foreigners face when they have to walk thru a metal detector or have their picture taken to buy take aways or eat at some resturant

Another aspect could be your right of privacy (Big Brother watching you)

Sure, I saw this kind of thing on CSi. On the left side of the screen you have the reference face, and then all the other faces in the database flash past - until one matches then it moves over to screen left, is superimposed over the reference face, flashes and says "Match Found."

What's the problem?

Actually the level of propaganda (and bullsh#t) coming out of these "programs" is beyond reasonable.
