As much as I enjoy Apple products the AppleTV has always been the least exciting of their product ranges. The remote is awesome but I'll stick with roku.

Really? I love my Apple TV even more than my iPhone, iPad, MacBook or iMac. Different strokes I guess
I think Roku already does all the streaming I need - at the moment I've got the usual Neflix, Hulu, Amazon, NowTV, and tonight I might give HBO Now a try.Once the app store fills up i think it's going to end up being quite a big deal. Just the flex app will make quite a few people happy.
And that's ignoring the obvious potential of Apple doing streaming TV.

FWIW if I was living in the US or UK I'd give the AppleTV a lot more consideration.
The lack of the iTunes Store on the Roku is a non-starter for me
While I have nothing against it I think the lack of iTunes is what appeals most to many Plex users.![]()
So you can't stream local content via iTunes anymore?Isn't Plex one of those old school systems for people that still download their media rather than streaming it? (I've never actually used Plex for that reason). Similar to the old FrontRow and XBMC etc
Good for you if you can stream everything under the sun. I certainly can't.Isn't Plex one of those old school systems for people that still download their media rather than streaming it?
Looking forward to it but not looking forward to the price in SA.

The Apple TV is priced as follows:
32GB – $149
64GB – $199
Never tried. Only ever rent or buy movies and tv shows
