Perhaps not but I thought he was involved from inception. I think this was vaguely promised in 2008/2009. This is earliest I could find.It was never Aaron's baby.
Aunty Pat is a political prostitute.
https://www.biznews.com/thought-leaders/2018/02/02/de-lille-brief-history-ed-herbstIt is interesting to look back to the early 1990s and some of the quotes which defined de Lille’s perspective on matters such as minority rights, the attacks by members of her PAC party on the St James Church and the Heidelberg Tavern, the murder of Amy Biehl, our diplomatic ties with the Operation Gukurahundi war criminal Robert Mugabe and the need for MPs to fulfil the parliamentary duties for which they are paid. It would be entirely justified to say that, in her first decade as an MP, fomenting hatred against the white minority was a singular and venomous focus of her political endeavours.
'No blue lights. I'm staying away from blue,' says Patricia de Lille
in News / South Africa by SowetanLIVE
GOOD leader Patricia de Lille said on Thursday, with a chuckle, that there would be no blue-light brigades whisking her around as the country's new minister of public works and infrastructure.
"No, no. No blue lights. I'm staying away, far away from anything that's blue," she told Power FM.
It was the tail end of a conversation that touched on her estranged relationship with the DA, under which she served as mayor of Cape Town. That relationship ended in a very public "divorce" that saw her form a new political party, fight an election campaign and land a cabinet post.
Asked if she felt her appointment was merely a strategy by the ruling party to deal with the DA, De Lille said: "No man, I think we must forget about the DA. They've got enough problems amongst themselves in the different factions and they must sort it themselves. What we need in our country is to rise above our political differences and we need to serve when we are called upon to do so.
"I'm really not bothered about what the DA is saying or thinking".
Social media went into frenzy mode on Wednesday after GOOD party leader and former Cape Town mayor Patricia de Lille was appointed to President Cyril Ramaphosa's cabinet.
De Lille will be assuming the role of minister of public works and infrastructure.
After her announcement, it didn't take long for ''Aunty Pat'' to trend on Twitter.
In a series of tweets, de Lille said she is "deeply honoured and humbled to have received the call" and "pledge to continue the struggle for dignity and fairness for all South Africans".
Almost worse than before.So... what do you guys think?
Was hoping Angie would've been let go...
Because it is allowed in some ministerial handbook. If things were up to me, only the president, his deputy and perhaps chiefs of the military and the police would have blue light motorcades. What does a minister or a mayor need blue lights for?
"No, no. No blue lights. I'm staying away, far away from anything that's blue," she told Power FM.
Many people celebrate the fact that the cabinet is 50% woman. Which is fine if all of them was selected based on merit.
If you want help women, we should select minister based on ability and not to fill quotas.
https://m.news24.com/SouthAfrica/Ne...ve-no-hard-feelings-toward-ramaphosa-20190530Outgoing ANC Youth League (ANCYL) president Collen Maine, overlooked for the newly appointed Cabinet, says he harbours no hard feelings toward President Cyril Ramaphosa.
Maine who was sworn into Parliament during its first sitting on May 22, said the league won a much bigger battle to have more than 20 percent representation in Ramaphosa's executive.
What's Oros' problem now? Didn't he get to keep his fat MEC salary even while serving as YL president which is supposed to be a full time role? He's playing politics of the stomach in his expectations and potentially feeling the pinch of Zuma losing at Nasrec where he stood to gorge his fat bottom.'I have no hard feelings toward Ramaphosa' - Maine reacts to Cabinet exclusion

Problem is he changed sides and was perhaps hoping for some reward. What's Oros' problem now? I was also overlooked by the proteas selectors and I have no hard feelings either; fact that I am completely useless at playing cricket is a moot point if someone raises it.Outgoing ANC Youth League (ANCYL) president Collen Maine, overlooked for the newly appointed Cabinet
Truth be told this merit thing is overrated and used as a tool of gatekeeping by many, I know because it always arises when the issue of EE in regards to women comes up, same as with black appointments, there are less concerns about merit when men and white people are appointed.
I'd rather he's appointed a jail cell than cabinet posting.Problem is he changed sides and was perhaps hoping for some reward.
