Not only are they focusing on larger sensors instead of just upping the megapixel count, they seem to be actually considering using "proper" controls to adjust settings instead of fiddling with buttons:




I can't wait till the day I can buy a digital camera with dedicated dials for aperture, shutter speed, ISO and WB...

After walking around with the nikon p6000 in my pocket for a couple of weeks that S90 looks like it has a really convenient form factor (and it shoots RAW). Like the P6000 the G series is just too bulky imo.

I'm liking the S90 too for a P&S which I would like to get especially for cases where the SO doesn't want the dSLR carried around with us. I wonder what they will go for when they hit here.

I must say, this S90 looks awesome. I would love to have something like that in my pocket, because my SLR is never with me. It makes me think that, if you leave your SLR at home, the S90 will produce superior pics, as the SLR will be at home.

+1 - Lots of times when I drive home from work, and there is a nice dramatic sky over table mountain. Would love to have something decent with me to capture it. I don't want to leave my dSLR at work or in the car, where it can find feet.

They're big for a P&S but at least it's a reasonably slick design - I can still make it fit in my jean pocket. With a bridge camera I might as well have a DSLR.
