New Cape Town mesh - Highsites needed!

What kind of meshing technologies will you use? And why are you using boosters? Plenty of people are connecting to various wireless services quite effortlessly without them.

A Wug is mostly a den-of-thieves network that does nothing but clog 2.4 with noise 24/7 for the sole purpose of fueling egos, playing the occasional lan game and leeching illegal software and media.

Did I miss anything else?
 
Yes, the part where all the wisps with their amps mess up the signal for the wug
 
See i told you, you know **** about us, we dont even use 2.4 anymore, the reason being you wips and your amps.

I've said this before, and I'll say it again.

There is more networking and RF experience in a single WUG than every WISP in South Africa combined.
And thats mainly because on their experiences on the WUG.
A WUG is an educational environment. Think of it as a city-wide test lab.

Perhaps you should spend some time getting to know your local WUG, and learn a bit.
 
I was wonder where the "wisp for the month" post was, was starting to get worried for a moment there. By blanket you mean drown us all in your 2.4ghz amped noise! Clearly they have not got a clue as far as wifi goes, if you have to amp, your doing it wrong! I just hope you stay your side of the mountain, all we need are more wisp abusing/amping. Please provide us with proof of us wug's using wifi over the 100mw limit, please, pretty please! Thx for admitting you use illegal amps, hope icasa reads here too....

Shouldn't they be paying myadsl for such obvious advertising of their wisp ? Excited about a poor attempt at a mesh **cough**wisp**cough**, should start a collection in another thread with all the fly-by night wisp attempts.... sorry "mesh" wifi (tm) mesh(tm)
 
heh yeah, what kind of a "mesh" needs amps anyway, clearly not a mesh, sounds like someone else we know...

Talk about unjustified arrogance! And how do you come to the conclusion that you know more than most WISP operators?

All I could possibly learn from the WUGs is how to become a criminal and steal software and media from others. All you use it for is simply swapping stolen material. All it would take is an anonymous e-mail to Deborah Patta and your illegal software fencing ring will be bust and your network taken down.
 
grin you are actaully operating illegally Robert2 ... ISM is meant for non-commercial purposes which is what you are using. Do you know what ISM is ??
 
Oh and Robert2 i suppose u are legal? Cause as far as i know it is illegal so sell internet over wifi. Oh sorry you dont sell, you just demand a donation.

Do you really want proof which could only result in ICASA confiscating your equipment and possibly sending you to prison? Careful what you ask for.

Unlike the WUGs, we are fully licensed by ICASA and VANS. Also unlike the WUGs, we do not allow child pornography, pirated software or trading of unlicensed media.
 
ICASA wont find it usefull to shut us down, cause then there would still be all the small wisps selling internet ILLEGAL!

Excuse me? I'm 100% certain there is no Child Pornography on JaWug. Thats a very strong allegation. Any lawyers around who'd like to define the term 'libel' for us?
