To be quite honest, if the new Civic wasn't being launched so soon, I would've considered an Astra sometime next year myself. I've actually recommended an Astra to several new-car-buyers this year, only because the Civic was a bit above their budget. Sub-R250k in the C-segment there is nothing that compares to the Astra.
