New CellC contract

Question for a CellC rep:

A friend of mine would like to take out R150pm Whoosh contract. Only thing is she's a divorced lady who receives payment from her ex every month - ie she doesn't have a job and hence no salary slip. She went to the CellC store yesterday and they said she couldn't take out a contract without a salary slip, or 1 year's bank statements. Her savings account at ABSA doesn't send her monthly statements and the bank only gives 3 months statements.

Is there no way she can take out a contract?
