New channels for e-tv

It has always been our aim to provide content which is innovative, entertaining and reflective of the changing lives of our audience.

I take it they don't mean movies since the same movies have been on E for years.

How many channels will OpenView have in total during launch date. Example will Soweto, KZN, etc be there etc.

Will the content be good or bad - spending around R1800 on equipment is madness if the content is crap example movies based on the 1920's

...but still welcome more choice...for the masses.:D

Who's will be the first to investment in the equipment and respond back with positive/negative feedback.

They should rather give me a T-Shirt and cap with free installation that way I can promote openview :)

Finally there will be choice between Sentech and OpenView

I'll just have wait for DTT. There's no way in hell I'm installing (or paying anyone else to install) a dish.

To commemorate 15 years in broadcasting the channel will launch four additional channels; a local content channel, a kiddies channel, a movie channel and an African channel focusing on Pan-African programming.

Great a movie channel in amongst the local African channels, just what I need is central African movies featuring 419 scammers

I don't watch local content, unless it is excellent
I don't have children in the house
I've got Netflix for movies
Pan-African programming? Not interested!

Wait a min , this says 4 new channels , so does that mean that the channels have been announced already ? did I miss something ?

Two of those channels will probably be reserved for ads with interruptions by a program every now and then.

Probably something like eTV2 (wrestling, reality tv, soaps) , eTV Kids, eTV Africa (Nollywood/Kasi movies), and eMovies (programmed with B-movies and occasional first-rate Hollywood fare)
