My next coffee machine will undoubtedly be a Jura. Seriously good coffee. Now I just need my Delonghi to be unserviceable/repairable.
Bit of a resurrection, but I'm looking at getting a coffee machine as well for home use.
It will mostly be used on the weekends for a couple of cups (2 to 4) per day.
I would like to get a manual machine but I have no idea which manufacturers to avoid.
My budget is around R5k to R6k.
Which machine would you recommend?
Are you dead set on a new one? Jura's second hands are very solid and are in your budget range. Especially the ones that have been regularly serviced. The Impressa F50, F70 second hands sell for R5k to R8k.
There is really no better option than this if you want the best coffee (in terms of cost/performance). Jura machines are very convenient, but the Gaggia is capable of producing a much better cup. (of course you also need a proper grinder)Maybe something like this:

We have a Jura at work. Not worth it for the price premium or to buy second hand.I used to think that too

I had a look at the grinders as well, but I'm not sure what to get. It seems like the anything below R3k is not really good enough for an espresso machine...
I saw a Graef grinder CM702 for about R2.9k and a Graef CM800 for R3.8k.
Are there any other that I need to have a look at?
