So before the uncapped / capped discussion begins, let me tell you why I think this is a great deal.

I don't use p2p anymore, those days are over as I stream everything from Netflix / Hulu etc. The only downloads I do now are updates and my Steam games. My monthly usage is on average 60 to 80Gigs a month, with the Steam specials spiking it to 120GB [I love those specials]

This might come across as a product spotlight but I can assure you I don't work for Cybersmart, I have just been a customer of theirs since 2004.

I have been looking for a decent capped solution for a while now as I feel uncapped in its current form in South Africa is just useless. But then I suppose it depends on what you need from it.

Just my 2c. check out the link there is limited accounts available.

The icing for me is the 1000Gigs of data during night rider time :-)

But you only get 50 gigs free? and then 1000 during midnight and 6. So you have to stay up during that time to stream?
 
150 GIG for all day use and streaming does not use up that much bandwidth in the first place [at least in my case - few episodes a night etc], the 1000 GIG is for your scheduled downloads, look I know a lot of you wont see the value in it as you have "uncapped" but let's face it, if we truly had uncapped in this country as what your or my definition of it is there would not be so many threads complaining about it here on myADSL. So I am just sharing the link for the special for like minded people who want a particular service at a good price point. Use it or not your choice.
 
Sorry forgot to mention i took the 100 Gig plan for my 10MB line, hence the 150 GIG total usage.

Look the individual experience is subjective, it is impossible to satisfy all the people 100% of the time. My personal experience with them has always been good and the solutions were always amicable to both parties.
 
I would love to know of the latency of these accounts to EU servers?

Apparently they run their own backbone? Not sure how true that is, support agent seemed somewhat dim..

And no newsserver? Thats seriously gay

I don't know if that is the backbone you speaking of.

EU servers, I don't know on this package as I don't play WOW anymore, but with the Home uncapped I was getting around 190 - 240 ms in the beginning of the year, before my wife got pregnant for the second time, now I just don't have the time to RAID anymore.

this is without lowerping or battleping etc. however there were times that it spiked horribly and play was just not possible.
 
As I said i don't download media content anymore whether p2p / rapidshare / newshost etc so don't see the need for that. I stream with no issues any time of the day, my wife was off sick just this week and was skyping me about what happened in Breaking Bad on netflix, I have actually never really checked if it is streaming at either 1080 or 720 all i know is that it is as good a quality as anything i used to download which was mostly DVD or 1080. so my experience has not diminished but my overheads have as i do not need to buy HDD's to keep storing all the goodies.
 
It looks like a decent deal actually.... It finally launched after such a long time that mybb did the article about it.
 
A bit OT but my 10mb uncapped account with Cybersmart has been performing brilliantly the last couple of months. It was a bit of a fight to get it there but now that it is, it's superb.

Better than any other uncapped account I've used and I've tried a few...
 
Pity the option I'd be interested in is sold out. Don't want to transfer my line.
 
Just wanted to provide some feedback on this option, used it the whole of November, i had full line speed, no latency issues when gaming BF4, Netflix and Hulu streamed all hours of the day at their fullest resolution. Just a fantastic product with no issues whatsoever. With my nightrider and normal downloading etc I did 214GB, 90% of that Steam and Origin as i just cannot help myself with the specials :-)
 
I have just got a 150GB anytime + 1000GB Night Rider. I am able to download more as I had a 4MB account but 10MB line and have a better quality connection than my 4MB Afrihost Business Uncapped.

I am super happy with this product and would like to see what quality people are getting on their uncapped products.
 
Sigh, I wanted to sign up for this but the non line bundles are finished.
And I cannot move my line to them

So was I.
i phoned them about making an exception for me, since I cancelled my existing ISP after seeing their special(which ran out before my notice period was up)
Got told I had to send an email to their accounts dept.
The person who tried to help me kept on referring to the bundle special.
Eventually I phoned them yesterday and spoke to another person who told me that there was never any special without the line rental. "He did not know what I saw" but the supersize me without line rental never existed according to him.

I seem to remember it @ R233 clearly.
They even still have the second row of options, but the supersize button has been removed.

They did have it and recently it went to sold out and now its gonbe completely...

Don't waste time just get this... Its way cheaper and more bandwidth since it kicks in @ 6pm and its for the whole weekend.
The only limit will be daytime usage since you will need to take this with a capped option. I use it with gig4gig cause the 1st gig is free and then uncapped after hours if you add the bolt on.
