I have a 500 MB contract. I thought the availbale data would be doubled to 1GB for this month of April 2007, but Vodacom4Me still shows 512000 KB ?

Same problem with me, i upgraded from 2Gig to 3Gig but i still have 2Gig:( from the 1st of april. Whats happening vodacom?

Ditto for me, I was scheduled to be upgraded from 1 Gig to 2 Gig. Contacted the data helpdesk, chatted to the operator who then transferred me to the accounts department. Last week when I called the accounts department said they cannot do the upgrade, I must chat to the data helpdesk.

I have now logged the call on the vodacom4me site.

As posted before, there won't be an automatic upgrade of bundles, rather the relevant discounts will apply.

If you want to upgrade your bundle, you need to call your SP.

I did call my SP last week, they say my 3Gig is active, but im still on 2Gig:confused: .

Just some feedback. I called the helpdesk again as I received no feedback from my call logged. Firstly I know that no systematic upgrades were going to be done for all the clients, as stated by V3G that is why I called Vodacom during the week before the 01/04 to confirm if I can request an upgrade. I was assured that as I requested the upgrade it will be done. The helpdesk has now informed me that there was a slight problem with the clients who requested to be automatically upgraded. My auto upgrade will now only be done on the 01/05, but I must contact the helpdesk on the 26/04 to remind them that the auto upgrade must be done. I suggest that those users wanting to upgrade should contact the helpdesk again.

I'm not Skeptik, but this seems pretty stupid ;)

You think that's stupid - try calling someone at 082 155 to discuss it with them.

I thought we were all being upgraded automatically? Apparently not.

Is there some way to request the upgrade through v4me?

Thanks 4 the info SoftDev

Yesterday I also upgraded on vodacom4me to the 500 mb but they say it will be active next month while the data services page is reflecting both the current 150mb and the 500mb packages. I'll call them before the end of the month to ensure they don't delay it the data upgrade.

For interest's sake what is the difference between ad-hoc and bolt-on???

Last month i was on 2Gig subscription, i heard about the price reduction 'so i decided to upgrade from 2Gig to 3Gig from the 1st of April this month. Unfortunately there was a technical upgrade error some-how, i called vodacom & ask what happened? they told me they will get to the bottom of this, and i will be contacted within the next 24hours.

I waited for vodacom, no reply:mad: . I decide to call the them, some lady told me they still busy investigating 'i will be contacted as soon as they found the problem. Ok! i understood, on the 8th of this month i thought 'ok, they are still busy investigating, let me add another 2Gig (ad-hoc) on my account. 24hour later i check my account data bundles balance "no active (ad-hoc) , so i called vodacom they told me the same story:eek: . It gets even worse, i check this month's bill, and i found out vodacom charged me for 3Gig (Bolt-on), where is this coming from? are they going to charge me for the 2Gig (ad-hoc) that i didn't even use?

I did call my service provider (vodacom) they are useless. I am even tired of calling 155/111. I'm also even considering of porting to mtn.

Yho Khodi that's bad, I've written to the VC SP asking for a confirmation that they will will not charge for the 500 this month since I'm not using it.
It's a dizzy dizzy business.

Anyway try taking your case to ICASA's consumer protection department but don't expect speedy service from the regulator thou.
