New Data Prices

So when can us prepaid users expect the Vodacom.co.za web-site to be updated. I have been seriously considering moving, as soon as I get a chance but if these bundles could just actually materialize then at least I can stay with status que for now.

Running on an Android phone so bandwidth is a must.

I have checked with a prepaid number now and it still shows the old rates.I will confirm when the menu will be updated.

The prepaid and Top Up once-off bundle product structure did not change on 1 August 2011.

Correct, from Vodacom's site:

Broadband Standard bundles between MyMeg 8 and MyGig 20 have been revised to either lower the price, increase the bundle size or both. The pricing is applicable to 24 month Data Contracts including Top Up data contracts, month-to-month data bundles to a Voice Contract and once-off data bundles to a Voice or Data Contract. Please note that this pricing does not apply to Prepaid and Top Up once-off data bundles.

I'm on a top-up 275 which includes 110MB per month but this month it was only 100MB. Should i query this?

i was paying R379 for R275 airtime and 110MB. Will I still be paying R379 for R275 airtime but only 100MB now?

I am on a TopUp 275 plan (offer from when the iPhone4 came out) - if I check my data balance I now see I am getting 110MB this month - all OK there. Next month only 100MB. HUH? I know the bundles were changed but surely I signed a contract and deal that gives me 110MB and now this has dropped by 10% to 100MB. Comments (maybe VodacomData/ocleroux know)?

Hi , You must have received an sms to advise you that the bundle size has changed. Kindly check your subscription as this should now be R49 and not R88.

Didn't get a SMS but maybe cause it is included in my package. Thanks for the info, on my bill it is listed as a "Promotional DATA Bundle" - @Vodacom111 on Twitter are going to get back to me so will chat to them when that happens.

I'm posting the outcome of this (not that it is good news though) for abzo and other's benefit. So I just got a call from Vodacom regarding the call I logged with them on this. Basically the R379 total I pay on the iPhone 4 Top Up 275 deal was essentially for the handset and the R275 of airtime/money you can use. The "Promotional DATA Bundle" which was 110MB was basically free and that has now been dropped to 100MB.
So bottom line, as I see and understand it, I am now getting the same value for the contract ie R275 to spend and the handset but I now have less free/promotional data (100Mb vs 110MB) which isn't cool but I can see what they are getting at now it was explained.

They broke contract, grounds for cancellation if you ever wanted to get out.

Vodacom.co.za still shows R88 for monthly data bundles, will this ever be rectified or will we have to wait 3 months?

Do you know what the contract says about the "promotional data"? What if they suddenly decide to give us R200 airtime instead of R275?? Is that any different?

Hi , can i kindly get your number to check the promo bundle? My understanding is that Vodacom needs to honour the 110Mb bundle until the promo ends.
