Hi good people,so i am looking for a new DSLR camera.
Gave my Nikon D90 to my wife and i am looking for something new. I really enjoyed the D90 and looking for something similar.
Any suggestions for an entry level or an enthusiast camera

So far these come to mind but i am still doing research. Any assistance is appreciated :D

Nikon D3400
Nikon D5600
Canon EOS Rebel T7i

Something to keep in mind is the Nikon premium in SA.
According to one review, the 800D (T7i is the American name) is a bit better than the 5600D, but considering that the Nikon is cheaper it is better value for money.

Yet, in SA the Nikon is 5600D is 30% more expensive than the 800D. And then you need to look at lenses as well.

I thought about switching from Canon to Nikon a couple of years ago, as the reviews said similarly priced Nikons were slightly better. Yet in SA the Nikons competed against better model Canons than in the US.

Do you have many lenses for the D90? It might be worth sticking with Nikon if you do, or might do in the future.

Second hand is also an option. Then maybe you can start looking at something in the mid-range like the D7200?

I bought a 2nd-hand D7200 for roughly the cost of a new D5500 about a year ago. I love it, it's great.

If I'd been buying new, I'd have gone for the D5600 (same sensor but smaller and lighter), but mostly because I like Nikon lenses more than Canon ones. The bodies are really neither here nor there for me.

D5500 looks good, watching reviews. Most say the D5600 not enough changes for the money
