My Cooler Master X-Craft 360 just died on me. It does not pick up the 1TB and 500GB hdd's, but only the 320GB, then it only copies data at 1.79MB/s.

Was thinking stuff e-SATA and go USB 3, have to get a USB 3 PCI card though.

What good external enclosures should I look at?

Why do you say stuff e-SATA? I have been using e-SATA and the transfer speeds fly.

But yes the Vantec enclosures are reliable from past experience and inexpensive compared to other brands

I said stuff e-SATA because the enclosures are so few and far between these days, and USB 3 is faster. e-SATA flies if your enclosure is not on the brink of colliding with something very solid - wall and floor comes to mind.

I am looking at these babies:
1. Vantec NexStar CX SuperSpeed (NST-310S3-BK),
2. NexStar 3 SuperSpeed 3.5" SATA HDD Enc (NST-380S3-BK)
3. Vantec 2-Port SuperSpeed USB 3.0 PCI-e (UGT-PC312)

Two enclosures for two HDD's, just not sure which one of the two.

E-sata is really fast but USB3 is gonna be the new standard on alot of devices in the future

AFAIK, for E-SATA and USB3, your 3.5" drive will limit the transfer rate, not the interface.
