New features in the latest Windows 10 update

Windows 10’s November update, also known as Version 1909, has begun rolling out, offering a variety of new features and performance improvements.

The update will be less intensive to install than previous feature updates, said Windows, because Microsoft will be reusing servicing technology for customers who have previously installed its May 2019 update.
 
Just installed on a new laptop for a client - the only bit I noticed that was new (and actually quite neat) was the flyout text that comes when you hover over the icons on the far left of the start menu.
"To use this feature, simply open the calendar, click on the correct date, and begin typing in the text box that will appear."
Doesn't work for me.
Quick install for a (nice) change. Plainly not a full OS re-install like previous version updates. Odd that it didn't leave behind a "windows.old" folder...no going back?
 
Since Microsoft began forcing updates on us, crashing my pc & making it unable to boot up successfully a couple of times, causing much anguish & wasted hours recovering(some)data, I have no faith in them & am no longer a fan. Wish there was another OS as well supported as them. I would've changed immediately, but the reality is that there isn't any, therefore I'm stuck with this dictator of an OS.
(Although I like certain Linux distros, Im not ready to migrate to them due to the incompatibilities & complications I'll have to face)

Get W10 Pro and delay feature updates for 365 days.

Works wonders and i dont have to deal with all the buggy shyte that comes with updates.

I cant remember W7 ever having any bugs, then again it just had SP1 and that was it, even build 7600 was super stable.

The major one's I remember at the start was programs expecting only one core never starting (rundl32 I think going 100% on one core) unless you started them two times at once and extra internet/network connections bugging out.
 
This was the weirdest update ever. Used Windows Update feature, my computer restarted and it was done. Two minutes tops. :)

Lately I've found Office (mostly Outlook) to be breaking apart into flakes, can't point at the cause but prime suspect is broken updates. So..

Actually, it has taken you 4 years to learn that the WIN update has never been a problem excpet for those that buck the system.

no, you failed to follow the correct installation process for outlook in the first place, now every time the oS updates the same problem arises .....
 
I've only found Win10 to be stable. The only issue I face is Office 365 not optimised in terms of hardware performance. You can have a high end PC though Excel and Outlook will still lag.

no, you failed to follow the correct installation process for outlook in the first place, now every time the oS updates the same problem arises .....

You talking sh1 t , who mentioned a link between OS updates and the Office issues
