That is fair enough.
The install time after the restart can also be quite tedious

Since Microsoft began forcing updates on us, crashing my pc & making it unable to boot up successfully a couple of times, causing much anguish & wasted hours recovering(some)data, I have no faith in them & am no longer a fan. Wish there was another OS as well supported as them. I would've changed immediately, but the reality is that there isn't any, therefore I'm stuck with this dictator of an OS. (Although I like certain Linux distros, Im not ready to migrate to them due to the incompatibilities & complications I'll have to face)

At home, The only thing I do on windows pc is play games. Because if this. And all my gaming logins and accounts are not registered with my standard email address.

Everything else I do on my MacBook. Programming, music etc. OS X updates are far more stable, although I have heard of complaints, but I have never experienced any issues myself.

At work I’m stuck because I have to use Win 10. And company policy is even worse. The force updates on us. I get why they would, companies are the target for hackers. Apparently we get hundreds(I am not exaggerating) of attacks of various nature every day. Consequently at work I have to suffer the crappy Outlook app and the occasional blue screen of death(Windows doesn’t play nice with dual monitors, I’m told. )

Linux is an alternative. You mention support. Think about that for a minute. What “support” do you actually get from Microsoft? Buggy updates is bad support.

You will be better served with Linux if OS X is not an option. I haven’t switched my win 10 pc to Linux because the games I play are either not supported or a mission to configure. Much the same reason you gave, but I do the more important real life things on a MacBook

Yep. Done for a client. Very quick, hardly any difference visually. No windows.old folder afterwards. No problems.
