New Fibre connection

Hello all. Please would someone advise me. I received a call from Telkom saying they want to move me from ADSL to Fibre and they came to install last week. It doesnt seem any faster and I thought that is the main aim to change? I will continue paying the over R600+ per month I was paying for unlimited internet.
I have done the My Broadband Speed test and download is 3.82 and upload is 1.77

I am useless with this and have no idea what is right. Please would someone help put me on the right track. Thank you

No, they may have issues with cable theft in your area. Putting you on fibre may result in less interruptions/copper theft.
Yes , fibre is capable of higher speeds than copper/ADSL but you will have to upgrade your package to enjoy that benefit. The delivery medium changed not your package.

Which package did you choose/are you on?

I am on uncapped but as I was on 4mg (is that speed?), I now see from the replies that I clearly did not upgrade the speed and there lies the problem. See, I said that I didnt know how it all works. I absolutely appreciate all the advice and now understand.
