New ford focus RS

lol no FiestaST. Have a few big Ford fan mates in the states and the rs was all they have been talking about.

He told me that ford has stopped production as they busy with uprated drivetrain to try resolve issues. The rs verion 2 is expected 2017. don't know how true this is and if this issue is on the usdm market only.

One think I really hate is the claimed figures of all manufacturers.
The do it at sea level on a prepped track at the perfect temp with professional drives.
then you buy the car in Gauteng and it not getting closed to claimed figures.

The rs could manage a 5 sec 0-100 up here.

also seen complaints about rattles, high speed steering issues and drivetrain overheating.

and blown turbos

I have a mate with a A45 also suffering with blown turbo's and now they want to detune the car.
seems all the performance cars are taking some strain.

Not surprised considering these cars boost so low down in the rpm range and lets be honest , the ppl driving these cars are boosting them to the max from start to finish.

There is an older model in Pretoria West. Lime Green one. I'll snap a picture if I see it again. Owner I think stays around Pretoria Gardens somewhere.
