New Gaming Laptop

Lol fair enough, to be honest Im exactly in the same boat these days. I work in enterprise IT in the cloud space so I hardly even know desktop hardware these days.
The only reason Im so confident in my claim about performance is that I tried to choose between a gaming laptop and gaming desktop about 2.5 years back.
I did tons of research and came to that conclusion, I also had a friend who bought one around that time and was really disappointed in the performance.
100%, and each to their own. But I can take my laptop to my in-laws house in the WC and play games there if I wanted too ;-)
Which was why I got it. Portability. I don't notice the difference in performance, no matter how slight.

Unfortunately you won't find any of those here. The only thing available locally that meets his requirements are those crap Asus TUF laptops. OP might have some luck getting the others from amazon if there is stock. But I wouldn't go that route.

You are correct. Not in the 19k - 23k region no (unless you settle for an i5 and 1650)

Would highly recommend look on amazon, think you can get ryzen 4 series with rtx 2060 for just over 20k

Hey guys looking for a gaming laptop or just laptop with dedicated graphics card but it has to be portable 13.3 or 14". Budget is unfortunately 10-15k which might be a stretch but hopefully I can find a Black Friday deal or decent contract somewhere

You're not going to get something new in that budget.

Yeah, unfortunately ones with a dGPU carry a premium (over and above the laptop premium). You might be able to find something with one of those MX250 / MX350 Nvidia dGPU's, but they are crap. This is about the best you'll get new. Pimp CPU, capable iGPU for extremely light gaming.

I looked at that one too, looks like a great little laptop. No dedicated GPU though (although the integrated AMD one isn't terrible).

Looking for a dedicated GPU, below a decent option although no dedicated GPU either (2nd hand but only 3 months old). If I don't come find any deals in the next month I will probably have to buy one of carbonite

Unless you are on the move a lot, you don't really need a gaming laptop. I find that a powerhouse gaming desktop serves better and is more bang for buck.

+1 and you not stuck with a 17 inch screen. Also upgrades are so much easier down the line. I had a Asus ROG laptop and I was over it very quickly.the worst was gaming in summer and everything is hot and the fans are ripping out hot air...i got a desktop and was much happier.

I'm thinking of getting myself a new little work horse Ryzen 7 laptop, can anyone recommend a proper retailer ? Is evetech any good ? I heard bad reviews about them, usually I get my hardware from IC and BT.

Hit that search function and type in Evetech (select search titles only) and you will get quite a bit of feedback on Evetech esp. after sales service.

The one quoted here:

You'll need to be more specific though on your requirements.

DO NOT buy from Evetech.
