New GPU

I paid R2500 for mine as well so it seems par for the course.

Still an excellent card for the price. Your PC has a 2500K hey Urban?

Pretty much the same base setup as me (4.3GHz on the i5 2500k).

Still going strong here. ARK does bog it down a bit but that's so far the only game that has made it sweat

Ha nice, I was going to recommend one but didn't see any in your price range on Carb.

970 will serve you well, enjoy!

Thanks guys! Yea it's getting better and better.

To think that only a year ago 970s were still selling for R5k on the second hand market. The RX480 had a very good impact on the GPU market.

So I came in to the office this morning and the PC is not booting. :(

Push power, CPU and Case fan spin for half a second, switch off.

I have tried reseating CPU and Motherboard power cables, no difference.

So I guess I can try reseating the RAM, GPU etc, and seeing if that gets me anywhere. Any other suggestions?

What power supply do you have?

All sorted now.

Last thing I did last night was removed my External HDD and a flash drive, so I removed the Front USB header and now then it booted fine. Also reset the BIOS to defaults. Have new GPU installed, busy downloading drivers.

Thanks for the input guys.

Will do a Heaven bench when it's done, so we can see what happened :D
