New Honda Civic Type-R

Not the biggest fan of this after we saw what they could do, with the concept. But looks better in red than the white pics I have seen.
 
The car's engine seems very torquey across the rev range as the driver is able to stay largely in 4th gear though the lap. Either that or the chassis allows the car to take corners far quicker than the Megane RS.

More k.ak Civic driver I reckon. I recall my Polo accelerated and braked like a beast but was way to understeery to get the nose tucked in though the corners. I could not keep up with a previous generation Fiesta ST through turns.

Judging by the brake/accelerator positions & shape in the pics included, it is going to be harder to do proper heel/toe breaking & blipping in the new Civic compared to the old. Not that you need to blip the throttle on a turbocharged 2 liter - the compression is so low that the engine braking effect when braking and downshifting is not going to have a significant impact.

In the Nurburgring lap, you do not see the driver heel-toe'ing when changing down under braking.
