New IE vulnerability

I don't know where Microsoft finds time to create operating systems and office suites with all these IE problems. They must have a lot of employees!:p

Er... why doesn't the world learn to use FF or Chrome, ffs!

Microsoft clearly needs to rethink it's browser software since it clearly cannot compete!

Don't use IE.

That's why Microsoft have overpriced prodicts!

+1 ... it's not like there aren't alternatives

Anyway, there must surely be a limit to the number of times you can patch something? Eventually, the multitude of patches to this FAIL of a browser must create vulnerabilities of their own?

This is just to funny? Wasn't this yesterdays news? lol.

how does china attack google through a vulnerability thats on IE?

Kinda like my road outside my house, apparently there is not limit to how many times the holes can be patched! :p

Users were advised to upgrade to Microsoft's new Windows 7 operating system and the latest browser, IE 8, which feature significant safeguards against hackers.

Hows that for a marketing tactic to sell more Windows7 OS's

Who cares? Does anybody use IE?

Apparently so.

Reading an article on the BBC website I saw that IE6 still registers 20% of hits webwide.

I saw another statistic that said the IE8 was also approaching in excess of 20% market share which probably means that Internet explorer, in one form or another, has around half the browsers currently being used.

Must mean that there are an awful lot of stupid people about...

I don't really understand MS's continued presence in the browser market. Despite it's dominance IE is openly mocked by so many people while not really (AFAIK) contributing anything to Microsoft and it's general image with the public. Surely if anything it casts a negative spin on MS with many regarding IE as a vulnerability-riddled virus and exploitation highway? Wouldn't it make more sense just to scrap the whole thing and allow Windows users to just pick one of the other browsers?

Isn't the interwebs of today far more standards compliant than the interwebs of the IE6 heyday? I understood what MS was trying to achieve back then by not complying with standards, but these days I don't see the point. Am I missing something?

Someone with more insight into this issue than myself please clear this up for me?

Try this link http://tinyurl.com/y95obwn

I like MS answer to it, "stop using XP, upgrade to Widnows 7 now!"
mm, I know, just install Chrome or FF on XP.

does this imply that google employees use IE? is that even a possibility? i mean, makes sense for microsoft employees to be using FF or Chrome, but why would google employees use IE?
