New iPhone 4 - No Sound

My brother just got a new iPhone 4 from MTN... and discovered no sound.

Only has sound with headphones.

Resetting does nothing... mute button is not on...

Anything to suggest ?

Return it to MTN as an OBF ?

i also got a new iphone 4 and the home button only worked like 20% of the time i sent mine back as a OBF, do the same !

Ya... I recommended he do the same.

He said that at the MTN store, they had to do something on iTunes with the phone before he could take it... and the person seemed a little awkward after this process... even removed the sim card when returning the iPhone in its box. Tinfoil hat perhaps.

Do they do an immediate swap for OBF with iPhones and the new CPA ?

MTN store swapped it out on the spot... new one working OK. Viva CPA....VIVA.

Read too many stories of OBF having to be repaired or refurbished... despite the 7 day thingy.

He's been waiting for the SE Arc, and MTN could only confirm a possible September ETA... so he took the iPhone 4.
