new kia rio oil usage

I bought my 2012 kia rio about 5 months ago.

To date it has 11 000 km on the clock.I checked the oil yesterday,it consumed oil beween the full mark and the half mark,in other words a quarter.

Is this normal for a new engine?

Yup - sounds about right to me for 11k
