Well kinda easy. Looking for a new laptop between R8000 amd R10000. Gonna use it for programming C#.

Any recommendations?

ok cool but wich exact one. between 8k and 10k. Links please

You expect some help and advice, which detracts from people's time, yet you're being such a twat.

Why reply to a thread with a stupid comment when obviously the person is looking for help?

didnt know that I asked for a program to program in...weird. Think you guys are misunderstanding me...need a laptop here...

All you need is a dual core processor and 2GB of RAM. Its just C#...you dont need anything super powerful out there. As long as its not a celeron/atom....you should be fine.

I'm also programming C# and currently using a HP 8710W.

Stunning machine - never gives any trouble. The quadro gfx may be a bit overkill for coding but the model is about 3 years old now so you might pick up one 2nd hand in your price range.

Also look at the P version - same machine with lesser gfx or the 8510 W/P if you would rather have a 15". You can't really go wrong with an HP business laptop.

There's tons of reviews all over the web for both models.

Lots of ppl in my office have Dell's and they all envy my HP as unlike the Dell's nothing ever goes wrong. :D

Good luck

I like this one:

Acer Extensa 5635G, Intel Core 2 Duo T6670 (2.2Ghz), 15.6" WXGA with Crystalbrite, Nvidia Graphics 512MB Dedicated, 4GB DDR2 (2*2GB), 320GB HDD, Bluetooth, Int Camera, DVD RW, 802.11n Wireless, 6 Cell Battery, Windows Vista Business (XP Pro CD incl)

+1 on that.

I picked an HP 8710w at Cash Converters for R7000 about a year ago. Great machine, I run SQL Server, Visual Studio, Delphi and Java on it without any problems.

i want to get a netbook, but I don't know if it would be able to run C Sharp(#) or so.. what do you gais think?

I'd get a 17" laptop if I was going to spend a lot of time writing code... The keyboard is bigger too.
