New laptop

I'm looking to buy a new laptop. I'm not looking for the most powerful cpu but battery length and ram are important. I'm going to be throwing linux on it, so the OS doesn't matter either.

Anyone have some good stores/websites I can checkout (cape town area)

I have no love for Packard Bell but this is from many moons ago, apparently these days they are owned and made by Acer. Makro has this special,

Trying to keep it under R5K - I've also got some DDR3 1600 ram laying around so I can quickly swap/add it. That i5 from makro does look tempting though.

So far a very good laptop, especially with the high screen resolution for the price.

I have only given Linux a cursory try on it so far, but the basics like WiFi worked. Have not tried out things like the card reader or headphone output yet.
