New level 1 lockdown rules gazetted

Minister of Cooperative Governance and Corporate Affairs Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma has published the updated alert level 1 lockdown regulations for South Africa.

This follows an address by President Cyril Ramaphosa on 11 November, where he said that certain level 1 lockdown regulations would be eased.

So liquor stores allowed to trade over weekends again and back to their regular licensed operating hours?

The only good thing about lock down was the restriction of booze out there...
For a while it was nice to go out and not see tons of broken beer bottles and drunks etc littering the streets...

Okay, not sure where you live but still saw that :( the ban on booze didn't stop it.

The children must still be home by midnight.

Can't allow pesky citizens freedom of movement - after all, it's not like citizens spent centuries fighting for the recognition of this fundamental human right, let alone one which was badly abused during the Apartheid era.

this did not stop the midnight shoppers last night or last week or hearing the cars and bikes flying on the highway at 2 in the morning all talk no action again.

What is the point of having levels when there are continual adjustments to it?
What about "the government is worried about the rise in infections"?
My predictions: increased lockdown for the holidays.

It's not about the level, it's not about lockdown, it's not about Covid - it's about the government being able to extend the state of disaster so they can continue to rule by decree. SA is taking a break from democracy.

This eviction story is absolute rubbish. I have a tenant that knows this and last paid her rent in May. Courts are being very unhelpful.
Next time onwards, get someone like RentMaster to collect rent etc. They also help in legal process.

In case someone asks. Yes, I am owner of Rentmaster as well as amazon, facebook and apple. Hence I like to promote all these sites.

Depends on your local licensing regulations. What was is now once again..
i buy 3 cases black labels a week and im working next week and finish work at 5pm
my PnP closes at 5pm but were open until 7pm before lockdown
Do i need to go to bottle store tomorrow morning to stock up for next week?

What would you have done before lockdown? From today the bottle stores can operate under those conditions.
