President Cyril Ramaphosa has announced that South Africa will move from alert level 4 to alert level 3 of the national COVID-19 lockdown on 1 June.

While the final level 3 regulations are still to be released, Ramaphosa provided an overview of what to expect at level 3.

Sorry, I missed the clown show last night, what did they say with regards to domestic helpers. I read somewhere that they can return to work (if they want to) but the employer has to organize transport for them.

He didn't say anything so assume it is still at the draft regs. Many domestics have returned to their work despite the restrictions using public transport. It is obviously also for your own safety to not have them in taxis, but people are taking the chance.

I doubt its that simple. When you apply for a liquor trading licence you specifically get one for on-premises or off-premises consumption. Even if they get their logistics in order, legally they are not allowed to sell for off-premises consumption.

Can the online liquor people sell and deliver any time, or would that once again be unfair on the brick-and-mortar shops? Eish..... things change and yet they stay the same.
