New LFG System

What u guys think of this new feature? I got into a pug for the hc last night and the group I was with wasnt bad at all uber dps though that was while trying to contend with the 950ms in Violet Hold
 
i want to make sweet sweet love to the new lfg system. Turned a relatively boring game into a fun one overnight.
 
Didnt really have much chance to look at it had a huge storm and the awful latency will be looking at it in detail tonight

Quite a bit faster then the previous system :)
 
New LFG system is great! Got some good items doing the random dungeon thing, when you get that sack of useful goods. The quest tracker is crap though, would rather stick to questhelper
 
Yeah i didnt find the quest tracker either. So im waiting for an update to Cartographer and quest helper again.

As for the new LFG, out first experience was an interesting one. We had a "dps" druid join us running around with lvl200 gear, casting aoe whilst standing right by me (the tank). He didnt pull aggro, but the bosses one shotted him each time and he couldnt understand why he's dying in Heroic. (which in the end he got an achieve for his first heroic) :P

It works great though. I just dont like that you get ported back to where you came from when you run out the exit/entrance. Would have been nice to be able to run out and be outside the instance, and if you wanted to port back to where you were, you use the port option. :) Not a big issue though.

What you guys think of the third dungeon? Tough one it is indeed. :D
 
The quest tracker works like this, go to your quest log, click on a quest, on the top right of the quest log will be a map icon, click that and the map opens up and shows you where the quest is...
 
I think the new LFG system is great! Especially on my server where Horde outnumberes the Alliance. Used to take ages to find a group. Last night took about 5 mins max.

Third dungeon is really tough! It is tough on healers I think. But there are some nice items that drop from both the normal and HC versions. Also did the Weekly Raid (PatchWerk) last night. That's also fun :)
 
thanx but the laaag and latency was awful was sitting with 950ms using a tunnelling service just not playable at that rate

Had the same problem with my 3g... I'm assuming the connection in my area has gone to hell :(

From my understanding the LFG system links people with more or less the same gear level. So you are on the same gear level as the druid? Just curious as to how this LFG thing works :)

you are correct.
And yeah latency is always abysmal on content patch days.

Whats amazing about the lfg tool is that it ignore your lockouts if you keep chosing random dungeon. Farmed 2 piece t9 on my hunter yesterday. Planning on seeing how it works for leveling low level characters in instances

The problem is it takes 2 long to sort out normally takes about 3-4 days so will have to play with the latency like that.

On the West Rand are we ? Yeah storm was big, but sat < 500 ping all night. Pretty good for Patch day I thought.

What is also verrry cool is you can add Achievement objectives to the quest tracker. Works very well.
