New LFG System

The storm we had must have hit close to us because my computer restarted and lost connection so quickly switched everything off

New LFG system is awesome! Really fast and nice to play with peeps you don't know :p

Ye, but now it has people from other realms as well.

My realm is very small :p

I had no lag whatsoever. Didn't feel like patch day.

Isnt that normally what a pug is lol

No, a pug is when you're grouped with 4 complete idiots who only started playing the game yesterday even though they're lvl70+, this usually ends in tears on your side though :D

I've been thoroughly enjoying the new LFG system. I normally detest pugs with ranDUMBS, but so far all my experiences have been just fine.

One question though, you're supposed to get additional rewards for using the system aren't you? An extra loot item or something? So far I've not noticed anything after about 10-15 random groups, so I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong, or if there's a bug. Has anyone else had this happen?

From my understanding the LFG system links people with more or less the same gear level. So you are on the same gear level as the druid? Just curious as to how this LFG thing works :)

hmmm, then i think we had a little fail or something was up. I have mostly lvl226 gear and some 245. My friend the Hunter has higher gear than i do. The druid was hovering in the 900 odd dps range and even my dps was better. lol.

I've had a couple run ins with characters who obviously sold their account... mage with 28k mana (easy way to check gear level, higher mana -> higher gear) doing 2k average in hc's, while me with my 22k mana doing 3.5k average

I think it tries to match you with similarly geared players, but it'll take whoever is in the queue to make up a group I think.
I've noticed there's usually only about a 10% dps spread on Recount, from top place down to the tank, which would suggest similar gear levels at least. It's only a few times that I can remember where there was a big variation in damage done amongst the group anyway, and that can sometimes be put down to there only being one AOE class in a group.

You have to do the random dugeon option to get the reward, you get something called a bag of useful goods (dont know if that is what its called). If you right click it you get an item. I think its aimed for lower levels though.

I started playing again 3 weeks ago got my lock to 80 this weekend. Ran 5-6 heroics last night and even though my dps wasnt anything to brag about not once did anyone in the group complain about it. Got some nice gear but I was wondering, are the 80 hc's easier than the BC ones? Downed most trash faster than I could get off 2 INC's (still gearing to get my haste up :P)

Back on topic the new system is great. Now the lvling and gearing will go much faster to get more ppl on 10/25 mans and i have a drood and mage that are just drewling for some lvls and gear :)

Yes they are, TBC Hc's where kinda aimed at T5 gear and we where hitting them in blues and t4 level epics, WOTLK hc's are aimed at blue dungeon gear levels

We ran TBC heroics with Outland blues and greens to gear up for Karazhan and Gruuls

Yeah, didnt check his mana level, but inspected his gear, and they were all blues. I didnt mind having a lover geared player in the group, i just didnt like the n00bness of this dimwit. Running ahead and pulling mobs. Telling me i should round up a whole room then they aoe them down. (He wanted to down 7 npc's with his 900dps, which made me inspect him).

Im standing on 40k HP buffed as a warrior tank so guess he thought ill be his personal bodyguard. But guess thats the fun of being a tank, he runs ahead, let them go and taunt once his down. Somehow the healer knew what was up so made no effort. :p

I found the "Look for Raid" thing but no LFG for normal dungeons... stupid ****ing WoW

lol Acid I got the LFG and not the LFR lol

ok

HOW

because if I join another mother****ing guild who has 100 players at any one time and then NO guild chat and NOBODY willing to help go through dungeons or dailies I'm going to scream.

And no, they don't even do raids... **** knows why they're a guild anyway
