New LFG System

I also had that experience. I did a random pug with my DK (Moerig) yesterday and when we got to a mining node he said in Afrikaans, gaan maar voort.

Had 3 very confused guys from the other servers right there.

Im teaching one british guy in our guild some lekker words. He knows Smaak and bokkie so far. :D

I enjoy the Dungeon Finder but queue times can be a pain (think /4 spamming was quicker) and the people you party with aren't always ideal.

(1) Wait 10 minutes for HoR
(2) Get presented with an instance that has 2/3 bosses down.
(3) Decline and then have to go back into queue
..... repeat .....
(4) Finally get group after 30 minutes
.... wait as all instances are full .....
(5) Start instance and wipe on first boss
(6) Everyone starts swearing and the tank or healer leaves
(7) Join Dungeon Finder for replacement
..... wipe and repeat .....
(8) Down first boss
.... wipe and group elects to kick the tank or healer ....
(9) Join Dungeon Finder for replacement
..... wait for 10 minutes as nobody wants to join an instance with 1 boss dead ....
(10) Go to step (5)

Think it took me 3 hours last night to complete HoR :p

Well yes, in short the new LFG tool only opens the playing field to more retards, not more skilled players.

I played with a saffer yesterday using the LFG system. Was a Gnome mage from Lightbringer <Braaivleis> We failed at the heroic but was nice to see a saffer :p

Thephreak most likely :p

Pitbull whats your char name so I can look out for you

Cethern

And yes it was Thephreak :)

We did the second ICC heroic the one with the hall. We failed so bad on it I eventually left the group. People where over aggro'ng and I had to keep up 2/3 People with the hits those mobs dish out. After about 4 wipes I left the group :D

That's because you're picky. I would have chosen the 2/3 bosses one, then go back in the queue...

However, it does seem you had some issues. I just did Nexus 4 times (one complete on HC and 3 others for the hat) and that all in like 60min

Random dungeons are more fun IMO, but the wait time for other dungeons was never more than 5min, I go on about my business while I wait for a match.

And if the tank sucks, fine... healer sucking... i can't believe ;)

Death Knight Tanks have this attitude on them that I want to ****ing throttle them!!!!

They always run ahead of the group or pull while people are busy drinking for mana (or doesn't wait for the healer to catch up) OR jumps/pulls without making sure anyone is with him.

Tank died 3 times like that, own ****ing stupidity. After the first time I Rebirthed and told him not to pull unless I have a HoT on him (which means I'm usually in range and ready)

 apparently people don't speak english. Lucky the group was cool enough not to be total 13 yo's and continue and finish the instance

I look at it this way. You get a noob in your random, it gives you more work, but you at least become more skilled in handling things. Especially when youre a tank or healer. I get random aggro all over the place because some people dont stick to my target. Makes me having to rotate view, taunt etc a whole lot. But Im becoming more aware of my surroundings. :)

The success or failure of the PUG is down to the Tank and the healer. The rest are incidental.

I was in a PUG yesterday and we wiped twice on the first boss in Azjol-Nerub and even when I was trying to stay alive I was getting massacred.

Conclusion: I am a sh*t healer or the tank was a sh*t tank. Personally I think the tank was crap, but that is just my humble opinion...

Something I learned: If the healer is getting aggro the tank is not doing their job right :)

Luckily as you get more skilled in healing you also can take up the slack for when the tank sucks :) Usually this is offset by good DPS, because the faster the mob goes down the better.

The number of times I have died because the tank has not held aggro. Well I have lost count.

I agree with you on the matter of tanks and aggro. I reckon that I am there to keep the tank alive and the tank is there to stop me from getting smacked.

Keeping the DPS chaps alive is second on my list of priorities, healing myself should be the last thing I should HAVE to worry about.

Well, my ignore list grows as I meet more bad players. It is one thing if they are willing to listen to me and learn, but once they show they don't give a s**t I feel the same and go /ignore

**** me, last night I did Pit of Saron Herioc (which I healed before) and the group wiped no less than 8 times!

The pally tank we had got smacked so hard I couldn't really keep up tbh (first time for me) only barely making it with some people dying because I didn't want the tank to die.

His reply? "lol, someone always dies at this point" (that's the start of the hill right before you go into the cave where the boulders drop on you as you run through)

After wiping 4 times he's like "yea these guys hit harder than some raid bosses"

So i was like

Then when we finished and everyone was still alive, I made a joke and asked him if he was kitted in cloth items because 2 of those guys hit him for 15-16k a shot (he had 32k hp)... he said "yea well my gear sucks"

Don't know how that has anything to do with him not keeping aggro, but I can agree his gear sucks because his armor/dodge rating/parrying should have kept those huge hits off of him right?

Worst healing experience for me last night. Hate it when tanks suck...

Actually gear for a tank plays a huge roll in aggro. I remember when I started tanking at 80, couldn't keep aggro. Farmed ToC 5man then heroic and at that point I could start keeping aggro.

Something i have noticed is that you do get warrior and palladins who get in as dps, but do all the taunting and aggro pulling moves of a tank. The funniest thing then is they get angry with the real tank for not keeping aggro :D

ROFL!

I have recently started leveling a warrior, but decided to go the DPS route as I didn't want to get into tanking right from the start as well as also picking up dual spec now at 68. Now at times I join a group where tanks just get smashed because they pull 3 groups. It is at this time I would start AoE fear (notice I check that it is safe) and then I equip a shield + taunt mobs off the healer and enable shield wall and shield block. Thing is I then live for the ability period, so does the healer, but 90% of the time the healer already gave up and never even healed me, even though we could have survived /sigh

Anyways, the day I get a healer that does, is when I know we have a good player healing us and the runs usually go smooth after that even when the tank keeps on dying.

I have the hang of that part now :)

I pop Lifebloomx3 and keep it up, Rejuvenation+Regrow, and Wild growth (for the melee guys). Then I just keep everything up and spam Nurish :) If someone does get AoE damage, Rejuvenation+Swiftmend.

I was really struggling there the first few times. (Lucky we never wiped on that section) But now that I have the rotation going I find it pretty easy :o

HoR is my new pain in the arse :D
