New LFG System

I have the hang of that part now :)

I pop Lifebloomx3 and keep it up, Rejuvenation+Regrow, and Wild growth (for the melee guys). Then I just keep everything up and spam Nurish :) If someone does get AoE damage, Rejuvenation+Swiftmend.

I was really struggling there the first few times. (Lucky we never wiped on that section) But now that I have the rotation going I find it pretty easy :o

HoR is my new pain in the arse :D

Naw dude, I breezed through that entire section with ease when I first healed it (when the LFG system came out).

Where we did wipe though was the first boss (that goblin giving that dude orders) but that's because the tank ran up and jumped in the middle of everyone (healer followed, lol) and didn't know there's 3 other dudes also there, so instead of pulling off the mobs and then fighting the boss, we fought everyone. Almost made it too...

But yea, good tank = easy healing

I usually do Regrowth/Rejuv/Lifebloom(only 1 stack)/WG

Then I let Lifebloom tick off for the mana I get back, stack it again and then hit WG again.

Usually that's all I need to do. If things get hairy I do rejuv on everyone just in case I need to swiftmend and then spam Nourish on the tank (rarely happens though)

I keep SW for myself because I learned that when the **** hits the fan there's no time to heal everyone including yourself :)

But yea, farming badges now is so easy, hopefully be kitted in all epics come this weekend.

Oh and what I learned while farming Nexus for the hat for one of the achievements this festive season is that the first boss, when she tosses you around, you're able to cast instant spells still, so I was able to lifebloom/wg and rejuv everyone as we're flying around the room :)

The success or failure of the PUG is down to the Tank and the healer. The rest are incidental.
Sorry but KUK story. I have tank heroics where the healer ran out of mana cos the dps was crap. My druid did 50% of the damage on the boss

What kind of healer did you have?

And yes, I agree that DPS is key as well. If you have good DPS then it's even easier because the mobs go down even faster

Hope im not a crap tank. :D

I need to work on my dodge and parry this weekend. My little warriors getting a beating in the new HC's. :wtf:

We ran this with Jono yesterday (or was it Tuesday) and we didn't wipe once. So it proves that it wasn't me it was the sh*t tank.

Jono on the other hand is awesome.

Enough of this love fest....

Happy PUG story for today.

I log on this morning to get my Frosties and I start off healing and then my latency goes to hell.
So I tell the guys that I can't carry on because we will get hammered this way.
So the DPS pally says: "no problem I will switch to holy and you can switch to DPS"
So we do that and cruise through the rest of the Nexus.
Such nice people out there.

The only time that I run out of mana is when the DPSs start taking lots of damage. Apart from AOE damage this shouldn't happen unless the tank isn't holding aggro properly.

Sadly, I can't answer that because I haven't seen a warrior tank since BC... It seems these days every group I get is either tanked by a Pally, a DK and maybe, maybe, once in a blue moon, a feral furwall...

So I have had an interesting grp recently.

Signed up as DPS/Tank, joined and viola, had a grp going. Chose me as DPS, had a warrior tanking.

With a slow start, I kept overaggroing the warrior, so I would choose my own target to tank and stand close to the warrior for the aoe to take effect.

The druid healer didnt complain about healing 2 tanks, so we did good, up to about the 2nd boss in the wailing caverns. Druid kept saying if the leather of the fang drops, we must all pass. So we kill the 2nd boss, a staff drops, druid goes, ooh, aah, pretty, we pass so he can upgrade, he waves goodbye and leaves.

Not to kill the grp, who were a really decent bunch of chaps, I volenteered to heal. So specced prot, with a mix of ret/prot gear, I healed till the end of instance. In a way I fulfilled all 3 roles in 1 run, lol.

Hybirds FTW

I've been getting that a lot lately since the new LFG system came into effect... I guess it has it's pro's and con's... it's just annoying when you've made the time to sit and farm badges for a day and you end up waiting on groups to reform to continue an instance or have the group die entirely.

And oddly enough, the only ones leaving so far are healers and tanks. Poor DPS just sit there twiddling their thumbs, waiting for something to kill... :(

i must say I am a bit addicted too random heroic system. Geared up 2 of my alts in tier 9 already :P

Funny though I did UK like 6 times in a row on Saterday :P

Oh and people still down like Occulus even though its been nerfed too the ground :S

Occulus is still a PitA if groups don't move during the phase shifts or use the drakes properly...

Most of the time, when we get Occulus, I see people leave group, then we have to wait for a new set.

The other thing I've noticed is that people are using the new LFG system as a quick time-killer before raids, etc... which gets annoying if you have people complaining about working to a time limit or trying to rush through the instance. Common culprits seem to be the tanks, so they grab as much as they can and expect the healer to cope while the DPS try to thin the ranks ASAP!

let ur tank remove some gear too make it more exciting :P

I do that if i do other heroics since i tend too not get much rage :F
